A lovely three dimensional horse and jockey brooch by Alabaster & Wilson. Co-founded in 1887 by Arthur Alabaster and Thomas Wilson, Alabaster & Wilson was a jewellery company that specialised in manufacturing all types of jewellery, especially brooches. This particular brooch, a textured 18k gold horse and enamel jockey, wearing red and white silks, with little black boots. With full English hallmarks for 18k gold, Birmingham, 1973, along with the Alabaster & Wilson makers mark.
